As you already know, in response to Covid-19 and to keep people at home and safe, Clark County Parks and Lands program has joined many other organizations, including the City of Vancouver, in canceling public events including volunteer activities through at least through May 4, 2020. The safety of our community is our top priority, and we are committed to doing our part to limit the spread of this virus.
There is a strong possibility that future events will also be affected. However, we encourage you to keep signing up for volunteer projects. Volunteers play an integral role in our community by caring for and improving parks, trails, public places, and recreational offerings. Not only do volunteers provide valuable support, but they also bring new ideas, energy and perspective. Clark County Parks and Lands will notify all registered volunteers of any cancellations at least 2 weeks prior to the event’s scheduled date. If a project can be rescheduled later in the year, registered volunteers will receive priority registration on the project(s) they signed up for.
For those looking for more immediate volunteer opportunities, we suggest reaching out to local food banks and pantries and follow all social distancing and personal protection guidance from Public Health.
